Two bodies found at popular beach
A popular holiday hotspot has been left in shock after two bodies were discovered in the waters of the same beach just days apart.
At about 7.45pm on Sunday, emergency services were called to the Glenelg Jetty after reports of a person floating unconscious in the water.
Divers from the Police Water Operations Unit were dispatched to the scene, but the woman was unable to be revived.
SA Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious, with a report being prepared for the coroner.
It comes as just four days after another body was found at the same location.
On Thursday morning, the body of a 61-year-old man was found near the jetty at about 6.50am.
A couple walking along the beach made the gruesome discovery, but the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
Western District CIB and crime scene investigators launched an investigation into the death.
