Dash cam footage which appears to show police officers hooning on one of NSW’s most dangerous roads in an off-road vehicle, has resulted in an interesting twist.
Matthew Gibbons was driving along Wombeyan Caves Road on Saturday when he filmed a buggy coming around the corner from the opposite direction.

The buggy, which has ‘police’ markings on it, appears to turn the corner at high speed – almost into the path of Mr Gibbons’ vehicle.
The buggy is painted with police stripes but it is not an official police vehicle, the Force has confirmed.
The owner of the private vehicle has now been fined.

The fake police vehicle comes just over a year after a Melbourne teen was arrested for allegedly decking out his truck as an emergency response unit and offering assistance.
The teenager’s fake emergency truck was allegedly kitted out with thousands of dollars worth of sirens, lights and gear.
