The Cheap Seats co-host Melanie Bracewell was left red-faced after dropping the F-bomb during a live interview with Anthony Albanese.

The prime minister joined hosts, Bracewell and Tim McDonald on Monday night to discuss the Voice to Parliament and G20 Summit.

Bracewell, who hails from New Zealand, experienced an embarrassing moment after she was caught off guard when her microphone pack suddenly fell off.

Making a bang as it fell, the host exclaimed “sorry, sorry, f***”.

Albanese and the audience then burst out laughing, while McDonald covered his face.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” she said.

“I didn’t mean to swear in front of you, that’s embarrassing.”

McDonald then handed the amused Albanese fake citizenship papers for his Kiwi co-host, telling the prime minister, “feel free to write ‘denied’ on that now”.

Mr Albanese proceeded to flip the page where he drew a strong line through the papers.

“Good call,” McDonald said.

“If we denied Australian citizenship (to people) who said that word, we’d really struggle,” the prime minister quipped.

“We’d really have a skills crisis.”
