Truck driver found dead in Victorian coolroom
A Victorian truck driver has died in a coolroom in the state's northwest.
The 50-year-old man was found at the Shepparton warehouse about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
Locals saw his vehicle unattended but still running outside the warehouse, two hours after he had finished work.
He was found in the low-oxygenated coolroom that was used to preserve apples.
WorkSafe is investigating the incident.
It is the state's third workplace fatality of 2023, compared to 11 at the same time last year.
