Perth singer songwriter Troye Sivan has announced his first Australian tour.
The 20-year-old YouTube sensation, who has over 3.6 million subscribers on the video streaming site, will play in Perth and Sydney in November.
He will also release his first full-length album, Blue Neighbourhood, on December 4 - meaning fans who get tickets will get a taste of the album before it's been released.
"It's going to be a weird experience to have these songs, to play these songs live, when they're not even out yet," Sivan told Beats1 radio host Zane Lowe.
The title of the album comes from a line in his song Wild, "let's leave this blue neighbourhood" and refers to his home city, which he said inspired the whole record.
Sivan opened up about growing up in the WA city and why he was keen to leave it, despite its obvious beauty.
"I come from Perth which is a moderately sized city of two million people and from within that I come from a really small Jewish community," Sivan said.
"I feel like I've had this really sheltered, perfect suburban upbringing and so all of these stories, all of the songs that I've witten, come from that place to me and take place in that context of this blue neighbourhood.
"So it's not necessarily this bad thing but it's the mundaneness of it, but it's where your truth is ... and how badly you want to get out, but how nice it is at the same time," he said.
The singer is also about to head out on his first US tour which sold out in less than half an hour.
