Trinny London's Miracle Blur is a staple in my make-up bag

I've been using it for years and am yet to find anything better.

I've been a big of Trinny London since it first launched in 2017, and its Miracle Blur primer recently reminded me why I fell in love with the brand in the first place. I'm all for reducing my make-up bag to be as small and fuss-free as possible, and its stackable, cream-based pots are the perfect solution if you're looking to downsize on packaging, without compromising on quality.

There's a huge range of Trinny London products that I can't get enough of, from the blendable Eye2Eye cream eyeshadows to the multi-tasking Lip2Cheek tints for a subtle wash of colour, but one product that's too good I immediately repurchase when my pot is running low is the brand's Miracle Blur - especially now it's included in the Trinny London 24-hour flash sale to celebrate founder Trinny Woodall's 60th birthday.

Trinny London Miracle Blur: Quick Overview

🛍️ Product reviewed: Miracle Blur
Tested it for: Two years
Rating: 4/5
💸 Reasons to buy: A true multi-purpose product, it's mattifying to reduce an oily T-zone throughout the day, acts as a primer to stop eyeshadow, concealer or foundation from creasing or sinking into lines and is suitable for all skin types
Reasons to avoid: It is expensive, especially considering it only contains four grams of product
💰 Best deal we've found: Thanks to the 24-hour flash sale at Trinny London (running until 8am on Friday 9 Feb) you can now shop it with 10% off, reduced from £26 to £23.40

This little pot contains a creamy, colourless formula that can be used across all skin tones to smooth, prime and blur texture.

This fine-line smoothing primer deserves a spot in every make-up bag, whether you take a pared back, minimalist approach to your beauty routine or love to get dressed up to the nines with full-coverage foundation.

It has been a part of my own routine for over two years and it's a brilliant multi-tasker that has rave reviews from other shoppers too.

The translucent formula has a multitude of uses; blurring pores, temporarily filling fine lines and even helping with the appearance of acne scars.

The mattifying, satin texture is translucent so there's no colour, meaning you don't need to worry about fiddly shade matching as it will suit all skin tones.

💸 Reasons to buy

It has a mattifying, satin texture that instantly evens out complexions by blurring and filling fine lines and pores.

I like to apply a small amount of the colour-free formula with my finger under my eyes, over and around my nose before putting on make-up to create a texture-free, super soft and smooth base.

Along with creating the perfect canvas for make-up application, I find it's also useful to make your products last longer.

For example, if you dap a small amount around your lips before applying lipstick (I'm a big fan of a bold lippie), it stops the colour from smearing, smudging or bleeding, keeping you looking polished and put together for longer.

It can also be pressed over foundation to smooth fine lines and provide touch ups, especially if you've been wearing make-up all day and don't have time to remove it and reapply.

Reasons to avoid

As much as I love, it would be remiss of me to not acknowledge the price. For a four gram pot of product, it will set you back £26 at full price, which is expensive. You can find primers a lot cheaper, but I've tried a ton and this one remains my go-to.

A little does go a long way though, so I've found it lasts up to six months. If you use it every day, on average that would equate to 14p a day, so the upfront cost is high but cost-per-wear is a lot less.
