I am vehemently against eggs, so when it comes to breakfast, I live for carbs. Bagels and toast are tasty, but pancakes and waffles? Those are my absolute faves.

Of course, I can always go out and buy these breakfast delicacies, but sometimes it’s nice to just eat in the comfort of your own home. Okay, in your PJs. That’s why I didn’t pass up the opportunity to put the Elechomes Waffle Maker to the test. The device is quietly blowing up on Amazon with more than 400 ratings and 4.7 out of 5 stars.

What makes the Elechomes Waffle Maker different and more special than others? It allows you to customize how brown you want your waffles. Genius, right?

This is especially important in a house like mine, where I prefer my waffles crispier, but my daughter likes hers lighter and softer.

When we tried out the Elechomes Waffle Maker this weekend, I was a bit skeptical. Honestly, it looks like a regular waffle iron, so I wasn't convinced it would get the cooking time right. But lo and behold, when I set the dial to "darker," my waffles came out toastier than when I set the dial to "lighter" for my daughter. And with both settings, the waffle maker cooked the waffles just right!

Amazon shoppers are equally impressed by this waffle iron. In the comments, shoppers rave that it's easy to use and clean, and they really seem to like the indicator light that lets you know when your waffles are done.

If you’re a waffle fanatic like I am, you definitely need a waffle maker in your kitchen for when cravings kick in. This one is a solid investment that also happens to be easy to store. The iron has a lock so you can store it upright when not in use.
