The 2023 summer transfer window is about to shut with Deadline Day finally upon us.
The biggest deals of the summer transfer market have come in the capital with Declan Rice joining the Gunners for £105million before Chelsea swooped for Moises Caicedo in a £115m deal.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham have also splashed the cash with Premier League clubs surpassing £2billion in total transfer fees.
But transfer deadline day could yet take the chaos to another level...
When does the summer transfer window close?
The summer transfer window in England will close at 11pm BST tonight, Friday, September 1, 2023.
Across Europe, the deadline varies with Germany set for a 5pm closing time and Italian clubs having until 7pm. France’s deadline comes at 10pm while Spain is aligned with England at 11pm.
Clubs elsewhere have a little bit longer to do their deals, with Qatar’s deadline on September 18, Saudi Arabia’s on September 20 and the UAE’s a day later. Belgian clubs also have some extra time, until their deadline on September 6.
When does the January transfer window open?
Premier League clubs will be able to do business again when the January transfer window opens on Monday, January 1, 2024. That will run until Thursday, February 1, 2024.
