Tradie finds surprising note and gift while renovating kitchen
Two men working on a kitchen have made a surprising find.
Craig Harrigann, from Scotland, was working on a kitchen in a home with a man named Phillip last week when the pair made the find under the floor.
Mr Harrigann shared video of the find on TikTok: a note under the floorboards purportedly from past owners of the home.
“Jack and May lived here,” he says, reading the note.
“Three kids and a dog. Kitchen done up during April-May 2001.
“All the best. Have a drink on us.”

Jack and May left behind a small bottle of Glenkinchie – a Scottish single malt whisky.
People in awe at 'brilliant' gesture
Viewers called it a “nice” gesture.
“That’s class,” one woman wrote.
Others called it “brilliant”, “cool” and “amazing”.
“That’s actually so cute,” another woman wrote. “Probably don’t drink if you’re using power tools though.”
Another woman added she would be concerned about drinking it.
“Is it bad I wouldn’t have drunk it because I would’ve convinced myself it’s poisoned?” she wrote.
However, one man pointed out the seal on the bottle is still intact, suggesting it has never been opened.
