Gareth Bale is set to start tonight's Europa League tie against Royal Antwerp amid fierce competition for places in Tottenham's attack, even with Harry Kane and Heung-min Son likely to be rested in Belgium.

Erik Lamela could be rewarded for his decisive cameo in Monday's 1-0 win at Burnley, while Carlos Vinicius is likely to start again after setting up two goals in last week's win over LASK.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is due a rest but Giovani Lo Celso is in contention after coming off the bench at Turf Moor.

At the back, Mourinho could rotate his full-backs, with more attacking pair Serge Aurier and Sergio Reguilon coming in, and Toby Alderweireld is set to start in his home city.

Davinson Sanchez is the Belgian's most likely partner after being omitted from the 18 for Burnley.

Paulo Gazzaniga, Gedson Fernandes, Joe Rodon and Danny Rose are ineligible, while Eric Dier and Tanguy Ndombele have remained in London as a precaution.

Japhet Tanganga is Spurs's only serious injury but Mourinho expects the young defender to be fit soon.

"Tanganga is the only player we really say has an injury or is in treatment from quite an important injury," the manager said.

"Very unlucky kid, he had a problem from before lockdown, then hard work to get back, played Chelsea in the cup and then this injury.

"But he's coming. Great professional, great sense of responsibility and he's working well to come back."

Serge Aurier and Steven Bergwijn missed Burnley with knocks and Mourinho added: "Serge is fine, Stevie is fine, selected too. Two very good players and great problems.

"Serge Aurier or Matt Doherty? Amazing problem. Or Steven Bergwijn or Lucas [Moura]? Amazing problem."

Tottenham predicted lineup (4-3-3): Hart; Aurier, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Reguilon; Winks, Lo Celso, Sissoko; Lamela, Bale, Vinicius
