The AllSaints Black Friday sale is always a biggie and we're hoping that 2023 might just be its best yet. If last year is anything to go by, you can expect some serious deals during this period. In fact, back in 2022 the event kicked off a whole week early with absolutely everything full-price reduced by 30%.

It's no secret that Black Friday is the best time of year to shop. Not only does the event occur before Christmas, which is great for gifting and party dress shopping, but this is usually when you can get the best new season deals. Yup, you can finally get in there before your size has sold out and only the dregs of the clearance remain.

AllSaints is revered for its badass leather jackets (the chunky kind every Fashion Editor is obsessed with) and combat boots. However, don't spend all your cash on those goodies if you're in desperate need of a decent winter coat – basically, use the Black Friday discounts to stock up on investment wardrobe pieces while they're at their cheapest.

Does AllSaints take part in Black Friday?

AllSaints has taken part in Black Friday in a big way for the past few years now so we reckon it's a fan.

When is AllSaints' Black Friday sale in 2023?

Black Friday always falls on the last weekend of November which, this year, is the 24th. From our experience, clothes shopping is a little easier than anything else (like tech or beauty); most retailers launch their sales before the big day and continue them through the whole weekend.

However, AllSaints usually go above and beyond with its sales: for the past few years the brand's Black Friday deals have launched way earlier so it's best to be on the lookout before the sales period legit begins.

What even is Black Friday?

Black Friday kickstarted in '30s America when the department store Macy's cashed in on the annual Thanksgiving Day parade (if you love Gossip Girl, you'll remember Dan and Serena watching it on TV in season six).

The term 'Black Friday' wasn't officially coined until years later, with the event becoming more of a thang during the big capitalist years of the '80s (ya know, Working Girl, Wall Street bankers and, um, all the independent ladies reading Cosmopolitan). FYI, it's always been manic AF, that's why we prefer to shop online from the smug comfort of our homes.

Amazon was the first retailer to bring Black Friday over to the UK, offering customers online discounts and deals on the same day as the sales in the US. Supermarket Asda was next, creating some serious fuss (and physical fights, for real) with huge discounts on TVs and tech in-store.

Soon the rest of the UK caught on to the potential pre-Christmas profit and the rest is history.
