Woolworths, Coles added to list of exposure sites amid outbreak
Western Australia has reported no new locally acquired Covid-19 cases on Sunday however Premier Mark McGowan warned a testing push was needed for Perth and Peel region to come out of lockdown.
New exposure sites have been identified, including Woolworths and Coles supermarkets, an early childcare centre and seven restaurants which have identified as "high risk" locations.
More than two million people are currently under lockdown however the premier said it's still too early to know if restrictions will be lifted at the end of the initial three-day period.
“Right now it’s too early to predict what will happen come Tuesday," Mr McGowan said on Sunday.
"We need to see more testing completed. Most importantly we need close contacts and casual contacts that is anyone who has visited the exposure locations during the specific times to be tested.
"So please keep doing the right thing. We all work together, it gives us the best chance to come out of lockdown and safely get back to normal.”
He also warned people should "get used to" the idea of further measures continuing past Monday.
The news comes after a man aged in 40s tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday night, hours after the premier announced there were no cases of community transmission.
The case is one of two confirmed cases linked to a 54-year-old man who tested positive for Covid-19 after leaving quarantine at the Perth Mercure Hotel.
It is believed the 54-year-old may have contracted the virus from someone else at the quarantine hotel.
"As a result, all restaurants where cases have dined-in are of higher risk," WA Health said.
There are now seven restaurants of concern:

Daycare, Coles and Woolworths listed as exposure sites
There are also a number of exposure sites which require those who have visited the locations to get tested for Covid-19 and remain in isolation until a negative result is received.
"Continue to monitor for symptoms for 14 days following your visit," WA Health says.
"If you experience any symptoms at any time – fever, coughing, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose, loss of smell or taste – go to a COVID clinic to be retested."
