Mum furious after toddler 'hit and dragged' by cyclist

A mum claims her toddler was hit and dragged by a cyclist and left with scratches on her face in a horrific incident in a park in East London.

Victoria Grant, 33, told The Sun her daughter Freya Clancy, 1, was hit head-on by a cyclist while the pair were walking on a footpath in East London on Thursday.

Ms Grant claims her daughter’s arm got caught in the spokes and Freya got dragged.

“The cyclist came flying out of the gate and her front wheel hit my daughter in the face,” she told The Sun.

“It was awful. I was screaming and shouting ‘you have just run over my daughter’.”

The cyclist managed to put on the brakes and Ms Grant said she “pushed the woman off the bike” as her child was trapped underneath.

Freya was taken to hospital but thankfully suffered no serious injuries.

Ms Grant claims the cyclist was travelling at about 16km/h.

She added the cyclist didn’t offer an apology and told her the little girl ran in front of her.

Police are still investigating the matter, though no one has been charged.
