Toddler in critical condition after being hit by car outside home

A 14-month-old boy is in a critical condition after being struck by a car in a suburban street in Perth’s south-east.

The boy was hit about 10:30am Saturday outside of his home on a street in Maddington on, Nine News reports.

The toddler was taken to Armadale hospital before being transferred to Perth Children's Hospital where he remains.

News.com.au reports the boy's condition had not improved on Sunday morning.

Footage from the scene showed an officer marking what appeared to be blood on the road.

Nine have reported a woman, believed to be a neighbour, is helping police with inquiries.

No charge have been made.
