Morgan Griffin, known for her roles in The Sleepover Club and Charlie and Boots, has been praised for her recent portrayal of young Olivia in the Seven Network biopic, Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You.

The young actress was born in Sydney in 1992.

As a child, she appeared in several commercials and portrayed a young Delta Goodrem in her music film clip, Innocent Eyes.

While still at school, she made her on-screen acting debut as Charlie in the second season of the popular children's series The Sleepover Club.

After leaving the show, Griffin scored a small role in the 2008 Hollywood film, Nim's Island, starring Abigail Breslin and Jodie Foster.

In 2009, she graduated from Kincoppal-Rose Bay School, and in the same year was cast in the lead female role in the film Charlie and Boots alongside Paul Hogan and Shane Jacobson.

She then appeared in the 2009 movie Accidents Happen opposite Geena Davis, and had a small role in Angelina Jolie's directorial debut film Unbroken in 2014.

Griffin's biggest international breakthrough came in 2015, when she was cast as Natalie in Brad Peyton's disaster film San Andreas. Her character appears in the first scene of the film alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

Most recently she has starred with fellow Australian actor Xavier Samuel in the 2016 movie Spin Out and the 2017 thriller Bad Blood.

Earlier this year Griffin appeared on Seven's breakfast program, The Morning Show, to discuss her role in the two-part Olivia Newton-John biopic.

She said she prepared for her part by repeatedly watching old interviews of Olivia just to get the voice right.

Audiences enjoyed Griffin's performance as the Aussie icon, with many tweeting she was the standout.
