Today hosts in stitches when Boy George presents the weather

Boy George has been busy ruffling feathers during this season of The Voice Australia.

But the singer was all laughs as he hilariously presented the weather on the Today Show earlier, much to the amusement of hosts Karl Stefanovic and Georgie Gardner.

The 80s icon was on the breakfast programme to promote the singing show — which he co-hosts alongside Delta Goodrem, Joe Jonas and Kelly Rowland — when he decided to try his hand being a meteorologist.

As you can imagine, it was pretty bloomin’ funny and he had the whole desk in stitches, including news and sports presenters Sylvia Jeffreys and Tim Gilbert.

“I’ve finally made it, I’m so excited,” the musician said, as he started the segment standing in the famous Today Show studio.

“But by the time I finish you’re not gonna know what’s going to happen anywhere,” he went on.

Then as any professional weather reader would, he started by reading the temperature in Cairns and began making his way down the eastern coast.

The 56-year-old quickly began to get into the groove, notably saying hey to all the “cowboys and cowgirls in Toowoomba”.

But the Brit — who is best known for being the lead singer in Culture Club — soon stumbled on our brilliantly difficult place names, hitting Wagga Wagga and pronouncing it all wrong. Bless.

As Karl and the gang laughed at his slip of the tongue Georgie defended himself, saying “there’s an A in it”.

While he’s been making Australia laugh with his attempt at reading the weather, he and Kelly Rowland have been clashing heaps on The Voice.

Maybe he should take up his weatherman position full-time. He certainly adds a new flair to the role.
