Tiahleigh Palmer's foster brother 'on Tinder' after incest conviction

A Tinder profile reportedly belonging to Tiahleigh Palmer’s foster brother Trent Thorburn, who was convicted of incest, has emerged.

Trent was sentenced to four years' imprisonment in 2017.

The schoolgirl’s foster brother, then 20 years old, pleaded guilty to four charges including perjury and admitting he had a sexual encounter with 12-year-old Tiahleigh before her murder in October 2015.

He served 16 months’ jail before being released in January 2018.

A Tinder profile which appears to belong to Trent Thorburn, who had sex with foster sister Tiahleigh Palmer before she was murdered, has emerged.

His father, Rick, was sentenced to life behind bars in May last year for murdering Tiahleigh.

The 12-year-old girl's body was found on the banks of the Gold Coast's Pimpama River in November 2015 and police swooped on her foster family the following September.

In a Facebook post written on Wednesday, the slain girl’s mother Cindy Palmer claimed Trent was using Tinder.

She included a picture of a man who appears to be him using the name TJ who says he is 22.

Ms Palmer added she was “not sure why everyone is so shocked”.

“People have obviously forgotten,” she wrote.

“They danced at her funeral, they lied.

“The callous disregard [those involved] have always had for what they have done has always been apparent and the reality of them all moving on with and living their lives as if nothing has happened has always been there.

“I’ve always said the only life sentences given out are to the family.”

It is unclear if Trent is the one running the Tinder account.

Ms Palmer told Nine News Trent’s alleged Tinder profile was “a slap in the face”.

“These evil pieces of work are there living their lives and maintain life as if nothing has happened,” she said.

Other Facebook users caught whiff of the Tinder profile, which left many horrified.

“You have got to be kidding me,” one woman wrote.

Another added if it was Trent she “can’t believe he’d even consider making any sort of dating app”.

“After what he did [he is] clearly is moving on with his life and doesn't give one f*** about what he did,” she wrote.

A third social media user simply called the profile “horrendous”.
