A woman is believed to have been critically injured after a rogue wave hit a tour boat near Shark Bay off Western Australia's coast.
The woman, thought to be in her 60s, was one of three people hurt when the incident happened around 2.30pm on Tuesday, about 20 kilometres off Shark Bay.
All three will be airlifted to Perth before being taken to hospital later on Tuesday.
A spokeswoman said St John Ambulance sent three crews to assist the patients but had to wait for the vessel to reach a jetty.
The patients were taken to a nursing post in Shark Bay, about 800km north of Perth. The town does not have its own hospital.
The boat is understood to have had 12 passengers on board when the incident happened.
