Three arrested over wild party at Melbourne rental property

Three men have been charged with criminal damage following an out-of-control party at a Melbourne rental property.

The Footscray home sustained significant internal and external damage after being rented for one night earlier in May, police said.

Police were called to the Ryan Street property after reports of the party and the landlord told the Herald Sun she watched helplessly as the destruction unfolded.

“I don’t know why you’d deliberately go out and vandalise someone’s property,” she said.

According to the landlord, four doors, picture frames throughout the house, two televisions, several windows and a number of door handles were damaged.

Two 18-year-olds and a 20-year-old have been bailed to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on September 13, charged with criminal damage.

Detectives are still looking for two other men who may be able to assist the investigation.
