Nuggets at Bucks

One of the best defensive teams in the Western Conference should have its hands full when Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks come to town. The Bucks not only boast the best record in the NBA, but the team has averaged the most points per game as well. The Denver Nuggets might be able to slow down the reigning MVP, but that might not be enough. On top of having a tremendous offense, the Bucks’ defense has also locked down opponents. Denver will need to break through on offense to take down the mighty Bucks at home.
Mavericks at Rockets
Friday, Jan. 31 at 8:00 p.m. ET
The top two teams in the Western Conference — and in the state of Texas — square off in a possible playoff preview. Containing Luka Doncic will be crucial for the Houston Rockets. The last time the two teams met, Doncic went off for 41 points, leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 137-123 win. With both Doncic and James Harden playing out of their minds offensively, this one promises to be high scoring.
Grizzlies at Pelicans
Friday, Jan. 31 at 8:00 p.m. ET
The NBA is already Zion Williamson’s league. Though the 19-year-old Williamson has only played in a handful of games, he’s already made the New Orleans Pelicans a fun watch. While Williamson couldn’t lead the team to a win in his debut, Williamson’s stunning takeover in the fourth quarter captivated NBA fans. The potential to see that again might be slim, but Williamson is going to draw a crowd wherever he plays moving forward. The chance to see something unbelievable is too much to pass up.
76ers at Celtics
Saturday, Feb. 1 at 8:30 p.m. ET
Two storied rivals will get together once again for another classic game. The Philadelphia 76ers have had the Boston Celtics’ number this season. In three meetings this season, Philadelphia has come out on top each time. Saturday presents an opportunity for Boston to turn that trend around. It should help that the Celtics will have home-court advantage. Ultimately, regular-season record isn’t going to matter. As long as the Celtics can figure out a way to beat the 76ers by the postseason, no one will remember Boston’s early struggles against Philadelphia this season.
