Man drowns at James Bond sex party
A James Bond-themed sex party had anything but a happy ending at the weekend when a man drowned while swimming with another guest.
The Sun reports the 35-year-old died after he was pulled from a swimming pool in the early hours of Saturday morning in the English county of Hertfordshire.
The naked man had reportedly been in the pool with a woman when he sunk beneath the surface.
Partygoers told The Sun they mistook his flailing for playing until it was too late.
"There is a steep incline in the pool which is about three metres deep and the guy went in deeper by himself and started whacking the water,” one guest said.
“I thought he was playing.
“After a while the woman screamed and I saw the man lying on the bottom and his body looked like it was moving but then I realised it was ripples in the water."
The unfortunate swinger was a new guest at the parties, which are regularly held at a $12 million mansion in Radlett.
The party’s host, Richard Stanley, leapt into the pool to pull the man to safety, however, his efforts came too late and the guest died shortly afterwards.
A Hertfordshire Police spokesman told The Sun police were called to “a social gathering” after being alerted to concerns for a man’s welfare.
“The man had sadly died,” he said.
“An investigation is underway.”
