Morgue worker admits sex with bodies

A man has admitted to having sex with dead bodies during his time as a morgue worker in Ohio.

West Palm Beach TV reports that Kenneth Douglas admitted in court that he had sexually abused three corpses while at work drunk or on drugs.

However he told investigators the number of bodies he abused could be as high as 100.

Douglas worked night shift in the morgue between 1976 and 1992.

WPTV reported that the former coroner and the morgue director failed "recklessly and wantonly" to supervise Douglas and that his supervisors knew that he was drinking and having sex with live women while at work.

WPTV said Douglas's wife had complained to supervisors on several occasions about her husband coming home reeking of sex and alcohol after work.

Douglas has previously been convicted of gross abuse of a corpse. His crimes came to light in 2008 after DNA evidence connected him to a murder victim. The murderer had admitted killing her but not raping her.
