A father slipped into a coma and died just 24 hours after he held his newborn son for the first time.
Josh Robison, 24, started to get a headache just a few hours after he met tiny Logan for the first time, the KSL reported.
He soon slipped into a coma from which he never woke up.
Josh's mum Jodi said that her son had been loving married life and was thrilled about the birth of his son.
"He was looking forward to it, but he was really nervous," Jodi said.
But it all went wrong when Josh started complaining about the headache.
"When they took him down to the CAT scan, that's when he lost consciousness,"Jodi told KSL.
Doctors don't know why Josh started bleeding on the brain, but attempts to save him on the operating table proved futile.
Earlier that year, Robison had suffered from a staph infection that had spread to a heart valve, but doctors believed he was recovering well.
Despite the tragedy, Jodi said it was "a miracle" that he still got the chance to hold his son before he died.
She also praised well-wishers who had helped raise over $50,000 for the family already.
"It's not so overwhelming as it is awe-inspiring and inspirational," Jodi said.
