A 21-year-old man has been charged over an armed robbery involving a replica gun at a North Dandalup tavern on Monday.

Peel Detectives allege the man entered the tavern on South West Highway about 12.50pm and threatened a female staff member with a firearm.

He then stole a quantity of cash and bottles of alcohol before running from the scene.

The man was arrested at his Mandurah home on Tuesday and a replica firearm, believed to be used by the man in the robbery, was located in bushland near Pinjarra.

He has been charged with armed robbery and will appear before the Mandurah Magistrates Court today.
