Weather hailed on social media
Residents in the State’s south-west took to social media last night to show off hailstones that filled their gardens.
A severe weather warning was issued last night for people in the South West, South Coastal, South East Coastal and Great Southern districts.

The Bureau of Meteorology warned that widespread damaging winds could develop south of a line from Albany to Lake King to Hopetoun between 10pm and 1am yesterday, and extend to south of Lake King to Salmon Gums to Israelite Bay after 1am today.
Residents were warned that in isolated areas, dangerous gusts of more than 125km/h could cause significant damage or destruction to properties.

Damaging winds are expected to ease by 8am today.
Thunderstorms with small hail were predicted yesterday. When the hail eventually hit, those in the south-west of the State posted images of the icy stones in their properties.

The Weather Bureau said that although it was typical weather for this time of year, the winds could cause damage to property and make road conditions hazardous.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said there had been no reports of significant damage caused by the severe weather in Perth or the South West.
