Man on road dies after run over
A man believed to have been lying on the road has been killed after being run over in South Hedland overnight.
A 41-year-old man in a white Mitsubishi utility was driving south west along Mitchie Crescent around 12.15am this morning, when he is believed to have hit a man who is believed to have been lying on the road.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and rendered first aid. Police arrived a short time later and began CPR.
The man was taken to the Hedland Health Campus where he was pronounced dead.
Police would like to speak with anyone who saw the crash, the Mitsubishi utility, or a man walking on Mitchie Crescent prior to the incident.
