Police dog Rumble gets his man
A police dog has chased down an alleged burglar after he tried to hide by jumping on the roof of a house in Kardinya this morning.
Rumble was taken to the area with officers after a woman in her nineties reported a person had broken into her home in the suburb about 1am and fled with several items.
The dog tracked a man to a laneway in Park Lane. He jumped a fence and climbed on to the roof of a house.
When the man jumped down, Rumble tracked him down to the backyard of a home where he was arrested by police.
A 38-year-old Hilton man was charged with aggravated burglary and commit and stealing in relation to the incident.
He is due to appear in Fremantle Magistrate’s Court on May 5.
