Two charged over drug find

A man and woman are expected to appear in court on a string of charges including drug offences after a police stop in St James yesterday afternoon.

Police allege they stopped a Holden Commodore on Albany Highway about 4pm when the driver and passenger became aggressive with police and were arrested for disorderly conduct.

A searched of the car allegedly uncovered about 13g of methylamphetamine, 5.8g of dexamphetamine, 6.5g of Xanax and cash.

A 30-year-old Harrisdale man, alleged to be a Rebels bikie, has been charged with three counts of possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property and one count each of possessing methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply and possessing amphetamine with intent to sell or supply.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrate’s Court today.

A 22-year-old Harrisdale woman has been charged with one count each of possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property, possessing methylamphetamine and possessing amphetamine.

She is due to appear in Perth Magistrate’s Court next month.
