A four-day-old puppy might not survive after it was stolen during a burglary in Perth’s south.

The Blue English Staffordshire Terrier was taken from a Leeming home in the early hours of yesterday morning.

In a statement on social media, WA Police described the thieves as “heartless and cowardly”.

“This is a defenseless puppy and needs returning to a devastated family very soon if it is to survive,” the statement read.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
