A 20-year-old Meekatharra man will face court today after a failed armed robbery in Kwinana last night.

Police will allege the man was armed with a knife when he entered a pizza store on Chisham Avenue about 9.40pm.

He allegedly demanded cash from the register before running from the store when confronted by three staff members.

He was arrested a short time later.

The Meekatharra man has been charged with attempted robbery and is due to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
