Driver missing after Whiteman pursuit

Police are looking for the driver of a silver Subaru after a short pursuit through Whiteman last night.

At about 8.30pm police saw the vehicle, suspected of having false number plates, at the intersection of Beechboro Road North and Marshall Road.

A pursuit soon followed when the driver refused to pull over.

The vehicle was abandoned a short time afterwards and police conducted and air and land search to try to find the driver.

Inquiries are continuing.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
