Wheelie fails to impress police

A motorcyclist has had his bike seized after allegedly doing a wheelstand as he led police on a pursuit in the South West last night.

A 29-year-old Dalyellup man is alleged to have accelerated away from police on Bussell Highway in Margaret River before riding on his back wheel for about 50 metres.

Police allegedly spotted the motorcyclist riding south on Townview Terrace where they stopped him and seized his bike.

The man was charged will driving with a blood alcohol concentrate of more than 0.08, reckless driving and failing to stop.

He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
