Suspect s selfie clue a gift for cops
Suspect's selfie clue a gift for cops

A possible criminal gifted police a crystal clear mugshot over the weekend by posting a selfie from a stolen iPad.

The selfie looks set to continue a trend of crooks being thwarted by their own vanity.

The iPad, a laptop and some jewellery was stolen from a home on Sanctuary Drive in Bertram on Saturday, March 30.

A short time after the burglary, the victim noticed the iPad had synced with iCloud.

A selfie was posted featuring an unsmiling woman wearing a grey jumper and gold necklaces.

Police would like to speak to the woman about the burglary.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
