Woman bound and threatened in burglary

A terrified 25-year-old woman had her mouth and hands bound with tape as a knife-wielding burglar raided her Kardinya house.

Police said the man entered the woman’s Davies Crescent home about 10.30am yesterday before threatening her with a knife.

The victim offered the man money but he refused and bound her mouth and hands with tape before rummaging through the house and stealing property.

The victim was able to free herself and call police after the man left, only to discover her 1997 red Ford Festiva hatchback had been stolen.

The car has the registration 1AGA 791.

The man is described as fair-skinned, 180cm tall and of a thin build. He was wearing a red long-sleeve checked shirt/jumper, blue jeans and a beanie.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
