Perth men charged over child exploitation

A 30-year-old Perth man has been accused of manipulating an 11-year-old Canberra girl into taking and sending indecent images and videos of herself and sending them to him.

The Wanneroo man allegedly used several fake online profiles to convince the girl to commit the acts.

It's also alleged he sent the girl indecent material of himself.

He faces four charges including using electronic communication with intent to procure a person under 13 years for sexual activity.

The man will appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on Friday.

Police also arrested a 21-year-old Orelia man over child exploitation material on Thursday after a covert operation.

They alleged that the man used online chat forums to sexually engage with a police operative posing as a 13-year-old girl.

He was apprehended after attempting to meet the `girl'.

He faces two charges including using electronic communication to expose a person under 16 years to indecent matter.

The man is scheduled to appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court on Friday.

Police continue to investigate his activities.
