A 42-year-old man has been charged over the discovery of an alleged home drug laboratory in Ardross yesterday.

The man, who is from Victoria, was charged after detectives allegedly found equipment consistent with the manufacture of drugs during a search of a property on Riseley Street yesterday morning.

He has been charged with attempting to manufacture methylamphetamine, one count of possessing a certain thing, possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing methylamphetamine.

He is scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrate's Court on March 18.
