Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery and assault of a 61-year-old woman in Kenwick last year.

The woman got off a train at Kenwick Train Station about 5.45pm on Thursday December 27 and was walking north along a footpath towards Roe Highway when two teenagers on a motorcycle or scooter rode up behind her.

When the woman reached the bridge near the highway the two boys grabbed the woman's handbag, dragging her to the ground.

The woman suffered cuts and bruises to her face and body and required medical treatment.

The offenders are both described as between 16 and 18-years-old with dark skin and one was wearing a dark T-shirt while the other was wearing a light T-shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
