Police are hunting a predator who raped a Beeliar mother after breaking into her home through a window last night.

Sex assault squad detectives say the woman was woken when the men entered her bedroom about 11pm. Police suspect the ordeal could have lasted up to an hour.

It is understood the woman’s husband works away and she was home alone with her children in their home in the relatively new housing development.

Police are still trying to compile a detailed description of the offender and spent several hours today at the woman’s home and speaking to nearby residents.

The attack has prompted police to urge residents to ensure their doors and windows are locked.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
