A man died when his Toyota Hilux collided with a truck on North West Coastal Highway near Karratha yesterday

The man was driving west along the highway when he hit a truck that was heading east along the same road about 5pm.

The Toyota was wedged under the truck and the driver died as a result of his injuries.

The truck driver was taken to Nickol Bay Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Major crash officers will travel to the scene today and both vehicles have been seized for further inspection.
