Two car crash into house

Police are investigating a crash in which two cars ploughed into a property in Jandakot last night.

A Mitsubishi Evo and a Nissan Skyline were travelling south along Lakes Way when the drivers lost control about 10.30pm.

The driver of the Mitsubishi failed to negotiate a bend and drove through a fence and down a retaining wall, striking the corner of a house.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with minor injuries.

The Nissan Skyline hit a tree before coming to a stop along the same fence.

The driver did not suffer any injuries.

A police spokesman said officers were trying to determine whether excessive speed along the 50km/h road was a factor in the crash

He said there was structural damage to the house.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services stabilised the back fence.

Later in the night, officers attended a crash outside the old Rick Hart store on Mandurah Terrace.

At 11.45pm a driver of a Mitsubishi Pajero lost control of the vehicle and hit some bollards, causing the car to catch fire.

The driver was taken to Peel Health Campus with minor injuries.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services workers later removed the vehicle.

Police are investigating whether fatigue was a factor in the crash.
