An online Lotto player is the first person from WA to win division one in 2013.

The local player took home a $1.3 million prize from Saturday's Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold via Lotterywest's Play Online service and is the first division one ticket to be sold on the online service.

Over 76,000 other WA players picked up a prize in the draw's other divisions including six players who scooped an $11,223 division two prize.

The winning division two tickets were purchased from: Eureka One Stop in Wilson; Glendalough News; Boulevard Newsagency in Kalgoorlie; Rogers Newsagency in Nedlands; West Busselton News; Thornlie Square Newspower.

Manager of West Busselton News Joe Lavorgna, said the Division two ticket sold at his outlet was a sign of good things to come this year.

"It's been just over a year since we last sold a division one Lotto ticket and we are thrilled to have started the new year with a division two win.

"We think the next division one Lotto win from here is just around the corner," he said.
