Teens charged over train station attack

Two teenagers will face court this morning after an attack on three people near a southern suburbs train station yesterday.

A police spokesman said a 14-year-old boy from High Wycombe and a 16-year-old Forrestfield boy would appear in Perth Children's Court on charges of aggravated assault with intent to rob and assault occasioning bodily harm.

Police allege that a 23-year-old City Beach man, a 25-year-old City Beach woman and a 24-year-old East Victoria Park man were walking from Oats Street train station about 2.35am when they were approached by two boys.

The offenders allegedly demanded their wallets before kicking, punching and kneeing the three victims.

A witness to the incident disturbed the attackers who then allegedly fled the scene.

St John Amublance took all victims to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital where they were treated for bruising, swelling, facial lacerations and a broken jaw.

Kensington Detectives conducted inquiries and Belmont Police arrested two teenagers late yesterday.
