Two teenage boys were robbed by three men armed with tomahawks in Bassendean last night.

The boys, aged 16 and 17, got off a bus at the intersection of Ivanhoe Street and Walter Road East just after 8pm.

They were approached by the men, who threatened them and demanded they empty their pockets.

The men stole cash and other valuables before running away.

The boys were not injured.

The thieves are described as all aged between 20 and 25.

One offender was short and solidly built, with fair skin, and was wearing a black leather jacket, a hat and dark pants.

Another offender was about 180cm tall, had dark skin and was wearing a dark jumper, a hat and dark pants.

The third offender was over 180cm and muscular, with dark skin, and was wearing a grey hooded jumper and dark pants.
