Facebook is Facebook is wishing itself a happy birthday.

In 10 years, it has become an online giant.

One in seven of the world's population has an account.

All the idea of this man, still only 29 years old.

It's mind blowing to think about.

I remember vividly, you know, having pizza with my friends a day or two after I opened up the first version of Facebook.

You know, at the time I thought somebody needs to build a service like this for the world.

I never thought that we would be the ones to help do it.

It's been a busy decade.

In February 2004 Facebook launchers allowed students to send each other messages at Harvard.

10 months later 1 million students signed up.

Six years after that it becomes a public company, selling much-hyped shares on the New York market which quickly half in value.

By October 2012 more than 1 billion people joined Facebook.

So Facebook is still agreeing strong.

Younger users are drawn to other networks like Twitter, snap chat and Instagram.

It's likely to be around in another decade's time.
