Ray King, of Carlisle, is the winner of the competition for two return AirAsia tickets to Osaka, Japan.

And it could make this a special Christmas - his wife is from Osaka and the couple may now return for a visit.

The two return economy tickets from Perth to Osaka are worth more than $1450. They were given for the competition by AirAsia to celebrate the extension of its Fly-Thru service from Perth to 24 destinations. Fly-Thru means that even though WA travellers will need connecting flights, they can book check their bags straight through to these destinations.

The winners will now fly from Perth to Osaka via Kuala Lumpur using AirAsia's Fly-Thru service, without having to clear immigration in Kuala Lumpur, check in their luggage twice or worry about transit visa applications. AirAsia is the leading and largest low-cost carrier in Asia, servicing the most extensive network with 152 routes across 23 countries.

The airline is renowned for its innovations. It was the first low-cost airline in the world to introduce flatbed seats which offer standard business-class specifications but come without the standard business-class cost.
