Perth Glory suffered a 1-0 defeat to Adelaide United in their pre-season friendly match at Belmore Sports Ground in Sydney today.

Playing in a new yellow kit, which will be used for pre-season and FFA Cup matches, Glory created few chances in the first half and saw Adelaide step up a gear after the break.

The Reds were unlucky not to have scored in the opening 15 minutes of the second half, but found the net through Nigel Boogaard in the 72nd minute.

Glory recruit Youssouf Hersi came on as a substitute and played 20 minutes in his first appearance for the club.

Fellow recruits Andy Keogh, Dino Djulbic and Diogo Ferreira were also on show.

Glory’s next pre-season assignment is against former NSL rivals Sydney Olympic on Wednesday before they return home to host high-profile Spanish club Malaga CF at nib Stadium on Sunday.
