Teenage defender Josh Risdon has been crowned Perth Glory’s Players Player of the Year.

The 19-year-old fullback, whose form this season earned him an Australian under-23 call-up, was crowned the winner at a club dinner last night.

“I’m really humbled to win this award because I have the highest respect for my teammates and coaches,” Risdon said. “I’d really like to thank all the coaches for helping me improve my game.

“This season has been a great experience and one I have thoroughly enjoyed.”

Bunbury born-and-raised Risdon, who played six times last season, made 24 appearances this campaign and was an outstanding contributor in Glory’s charge to the grand final.
