One game from the grand final - one game from a shot at being crowned the kings of Australian soccer.

Yes, Perth Glory and Central Coast Mariners meet today for the chance of facing Brisbane Roar in the A-League grand final a week tomorrow.

It's no surprise to see the Mariners so close to the big day, having won the Premiers Plate.

Yet Glory's rise is incredible. A basket case at the turn of the year with fans turning on manager Ian Ferguson and owner Tony Sage threatening to walk away - with his immediate retraction simply adding to the confusion felt around nib Stadium.

Yet from the chaos came a superb run of results which has not only secured Perth's spot in the finals but seen them finish third and helped deliver two home finals.

Now they are on the threshold of their first domestic grand final since the days of the NSL.

So if you're unable to see today's game stick with where The West Australian soccer writer Jonathan Cook will bring you live updates from 2.45pm.
