Pole marker Gota Good Looka Adda emerged as $150,000 WA Oaks (2536m) contender when she scored an all-the-way win in last night's $50,000 MMJ Real Estate Daintys Daughter Classic (2130m) at Gloucester Park.
The filly, starting at $7.50, fought on tenaciously for Banjup trainer-reinsman Colin Brown and held a 1.5m margin over heavily supported favourite Bettor Dreams ($1.70).
Big punters targeted Bettor Dreams, who was backed from $2.10, and she appeared to be travelling easily after moving from seventh to second near the bell.
However, Bettor Dreams was under pressure at the home turn.
"Gota Good Lookaddashowed potential when she recently won and ran four places at five consecutive starts," Brown said. "She was caught three-wide at Bunbury last Saturday and could be excused for finishing ninth.
"The filly thrived after her Bunbury race and I expect her to keep improving."
New Zealand import Lil Miss Hilarious, an impressive winner at her WA debut on February 1, raced wide in the Daintys Daughter Classic and finished seventh at $7.
