Perth Cup favourite Chester Road has been scratched on the eve of the $500,000 feature after he was found to have a strained tendon this morning.

Trainer Adam Durrant sent Chester Road, the $3.80 favourite for the cup with Player, for scans after detecting heat in a leg.

Chester Road’s stablemate, Mr Moet, has been elevated to favouritism at $3.50.

First emergency Talent Show has jumped into the field at the expense of Chester Road. Stewards have granted jockey Jarrad Noske permission to ride Talent Show at 54kg – 1kg over her allotted weight.
